Protests at Ruhmo Pulwama were not about prayers: Police
Says, Despite red zone shopkeepers had opened shops .

Srinagar, May 15 ( RNA): Refuting the claims that the protests at Ruhmo, Pulwama were against barring Friday prayers in the masjids , Police Friday afternoon said that the shopkeepers had opened shops despite the area having been declared as "Red Zone."
SSP Pulwama told RNA that the Concerned Tehsildar had gone to the area and asked shopkeepers to down the shutters prompting protests. He said since the area was a "Red Zone", therefore people have been advised to excercise caution .
"It wasnt about prayers. It's about saving own community. Shops were open which Tehsildar asked them to close as Rohmu is red zone."SSP told RNA
