Teacher’s Forum demand DDO powers to ZEOs, Headmasters

Teachers for seasonal ‘Nomad Bheks’ among many other demands presented to DSEK


Srinagar, June 03 ( RNA) : Jammu and Kashmir Teachers’ forum has demanded the DDO powers for newly promoted Zonal Education Officers and Headmasters besides an early arrangement of teachers for seasonal Nomad community in behaks. According to RNA, a delegation of the forum led by its President M. Akbar Khan called on Director School Education Kashmir Mohammad Younis Malik on Tuesday and presented him a charter of demands which included
The deployment of teachers on seasonal duties to Nomad behaks, cases of those RET G-II/G-III teachers pending due to some adverse/under observation/other board/university and other such like reasons, must be expedited so that their absorption on Substantive basis could be possible. The issue of reduced RETs was also highlighted but there seems to some Technical hitches impeding the process and hence this may need some couple of more rounds of talks to resolve it fully. DDO powers of those Zones/High schools where ZEO/HM were recently promoted and have joined their new places of postings. Percentage of results in 10th , are suffering as they could not show any Improvement as because of the prevailing circumstances the exams could not be held. It was advocated to release their salary on humanitarian grounds as their families too are suffering for no fault of theirs.
The confirmation of masters promoted in 2014 as in-Charge , filling of posts of High Schools Head Masters for smooth function of the department. Issue of PSC confirmed lecturers who are appointed in 2008/09.
The members who were part of the delegation included Muhammad Akbar Khan,President,
Muhammad Afzal Bhat Provincial President, Showkat Ali Beigh, Shabir Ahmad Bhat,
Muhammad Shafi Rather, Showkat Ahmad Shastar, Bashir Ahamd Thokar, Muhammad Akbar Dar, Ghulam Hassan Zargar, Farooq Ahmad Lasjani, Javeed Ahmad Malik, and Ghulam Nabi Ganaie.
