EJAC hails Govt efforts in Containing Covid

Extends support in fight against pandemic


Srinagar, May 11 ( RNA): J&K Employee's Joint Action Committee(EJAC ) has hailed government efforts in fighting the pandemic and has extended unflinching support and cooperation to government to tackle the serious situation which has emerged out of the pandemic. In a statement President EJAC and Chairman JK Teachers forum Mohd Rafique Rather has expressed deep concern on the health crises which has emerged through out country as a result of pandemic and added that it has created havoc and thousands of people get consumed on daily basis and there seems no end to this serious health crises in near future. Paying homage to all those who died during the pandemic he on behalf of entire leadership of EJAC expressed sympathies with all bereaved families and extended solidarity to all those infected or hospitalised and prayed for their recovery.
President EJAC Rafique Rather has hailed the JK Governments several timely taken measures to fight Covid .He said that unique decision of the government to engage retired doctors on contractual basis is a welcome step and appreciable aswell and added that the services of retired doctores need to be utilised effectively, which will not boost the morale of young doctors only by getting benefited by the expertise of their seniors, but will also strengthen the man power in existing health structure of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.He said that in time installation and augmentation of oxygen facilities in all major hospitals and medical collages of jammu and kashmir is a praise worthy step and it will help in removing the fears and apprehensions from the minds of the people who were getting scared by the media coverage of oxygen shortage in the country.


Rafique Rather said that series of strong and effective recent measures taken by the government to tackle the extra ordinary situation of emerging health crises are widely appreciated by the employees fraternity of jammu and kashmir and EJAC a united plateform of employees extends its support and cooperation at all levels to mitigate the sufferings of masses .
Hailing the contribution of all employees working as front line warriors Rafique Rather said that a special incentive need to be announced in favour of all those deputed to COVID duty,the way it was announced for medical and paramedical personnel, to boost the courage of such employees to work effectively during the crises and added that timely lockdown announced by the government is an effective tool to contain the pandemic.
Appealing people to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), Rafique Rather stressed upon employees fraternity to aware the people about precautions ought to be taken so that people are saved from getting infected and human loss is contained.
Rafique Rather urged upon the government to release the salary of NRHM Employees and HDF workers on the auspicious occassion of Eid, he said that the said employees have not been paid their wages for many months now.
