Share Covid vaccine formula to ensure 100 percent vaccination of youth, children: Tarun Uppal

Jammu, May 19 ( RNA): Social Activist and Chairperson of Nirbhay Bharat Foundation (NBF) Tarun Upal has demanded vaccination of the people across the nation on a massive scale in order to make them safe besides facilitating early success in the crucial battle against COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement issued to RNA here today, Chairman of the Foundation, Tarun Uppal said it is an acknowledged fact that despite an alert about the third wave of Covid being in the offing, the efforts in the direction of vaccination have been far below the expectations due to certain unavoidable compulsions, but as of today with the stocks of vaccination having increased considerably it is time to intensify the vaccination campaign against Corona virus across the country. However, keeping in view the fact that India is the second most populous nation of the world there is a dire need to prioritize massive production of the vaccine in India so that the coverage period is reduced to minimum, he asserted.
The NBF Chairperson impressed upon the Govt to share the vaccine formula with more pharmaceutical companies to multiply its production on a massive scale as this is the only way to achieve the target of 100 percent vaccination in the shortest possible time and bring the nation back on rails. He reiterated that it is necessary to vaccinate all the youth as well as children before the anticipated third wave of COVID-19 sets in.
While welcoming the green signal given by the Govt to commence the commencement of trials of vaccination for children within a few days, Uppal said that there is a dire need to ensure vaccination of all the children at the earliest as they constitute about 30 per cent of our population. He said that with the announcement of trials for children by the government it is hoped that the formal beginning of the vaccination campaign will get kick-started very soon.
Meanwhile, Tarun Uppal appealed to people to strictly follow the Covid SOPs and precautions announced by the government from time to time as the same is inevitable to contain the spread of deadly Corona virus.
