Stresses youth to avail benefits under various self-employment generation schemes
KULGAM, OCTOBER 06: The District Administration Kulgam today organised Mega Block Diwas at 3 blocks of the district to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
During the Block Diwas, functions were organised at Pahaloo, Kulgam and D.K.Marg blocks of the district and officers, officials from line departments listened to the issues, grievances and demands of the general public for their timely redressal at all the three venues.
Meanwhile, to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Kulgam where he listened to the public.
People from all the areas including Qaimoo, Behibagh, Frisal, Pombay, Kulgam, Katrasoo, Kadder and other areas apprised the Deputy Commissioner about various issues and put forth their demands for redressal.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the grievances on spot and in the context of other demands and issues required to be redressed at higher level, he assured that the same will be forwarded to concerned authorities at an earliest for immediate considerations.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the main objective of the programme is to mitigate the issues and grievances of the people.
While addressing a delegation of youth, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon un- employed youth to avail benefits of various self-employment generation schemes to establish their own income generation units.
BDC members, PRI’S also attended this Block Diwas.
ACR, ACD, ACP, Executive Engineers, Tehsildar Headquarter, BDOs and other officers were also present to respond to the queries and issues flagged by the people.
Meanwhile ADDC, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi and ADC, Showkat Ahmad Rather also remained present at block Pahaloo and D.K.Marg where they listened to issues and grievances of the public for redressal
