Awareness programme on rights of Prisoners held at District Jail Bhaderwah
BHADERWAH, OCTOBER 07 District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bhaderwah today organised a legal awareness programme on the rights of Prisoners here at District Jail.
During the programme, Secretary DLSA Bhaderwah, Mudasar Farooq; Sub Judge, Sumati Sharma; Superintendent District Jail, Mushtaq Ahmed; Assistant Superintendent Jail Anayat Ahmed among other dignitaries were present.
Advocate Vikarant Mahajan and Advocate Majid Malik were the resource persons, who educated the jail inmates about their rights.
The Secretary DLSA explained to the jail inmates about their right to have hygienic food, clean potable water, right to have an advocate, right of medical facilities, and about free Legal Aid to the jail inmates. The programme was organized under the supervision and guidance of Chairman DLSA (Principal District Session Judge Bhaderwah).
