DLSA team visits sub jail Baramulla, organises Legal Awareness programme
BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 07: A team of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora on Thursday visited Sub-Jail Baramulla and held interaction with prisoners and under trial detainees besides organizing a legal awareness programme as part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahatsov' campaign.
Secretary DLSA Fariqa Nazir said under the guidance of Principal District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Ibrahim Wani, a team visited Sub Jail Baramulla. She said during their visit to the prison, the team spent over three hours within the premises and inspected the condition of the prisoners.
The team visited all the Blocks and heard the grievances of inmates. In the said programme jail inmates, Staff members of DLSA Bandipora and Staff members of jail Baramulla were also present.
On the occasion the prisoners apprised the team about their grievances. The team assured them that their genuine grievances will be looked into.
