DDC Chairperson Nuzhat Ishfaq and Former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar call on Sh. Nitishwar Kumar

Assured duo restoration of power supply as per schedule within two or three days

Srinagar:DDC Chairperson Ganderbal Ms. Nuzhat Ishfaq and Former Legislator Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar today called on Sh. Nitishwar Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Lt Governor, Principal Secretary Power Development  and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) here in Srinagar. The duo discussed with him various matters pertaining to the development of District Ganderbal, besides other issues of public importance. Both the leaders express their concern over the frequent power cuts in the holy month of Ramazan, particularly at Sehri and Iftar time. The frequent interruption in the power supply leads people to suffer and makes it difficult to follow their obligatory religious routine. The Lieutenant Governor’s administration must intervene to ensure its promise of an uninterrupted power supply to the consumers in the Ramdhan. The duo also discussed with him the arrangements and facilities being provided to the pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Ji yatris 2022. They said as six to eight lakh Yatris are expected this year and the administration should made the best arrangements including security, accommodation and water supply, WiFi etc ” said the leaders, reiterating that this yatra symbolizes syncretic tradition of Hindu-Muslim unity and communal harmony.  Sh. Nitishwar Kumar assured the duo the power problem will be solved within two or three days even if we have to close the industrial units during the Ramdhan days and assured them that the genuine issues put forth by them would be looked into and urged him to continue his endeavours for promoting welfare of the people.
