Two Days Visit of Dr Jitendra Singh Concludes at Bla

Interacts with DDC, BDC Members, Delegations; Listens their Grievances /Demands.Terms PRIs as the Agents of Socio-economic Development ,  Sought their Active Participation


Baramulla,  April 26 (RNA) : On the second day of his visit to Baramulla, Union Minister of State (IC) Ministry of Science and Technology; Minister of State (IC) Ministry of Earth Science; Mos of Prime Minister's office and Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions; Department of Atomic Energy; and Department of Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh today chaired an interactive meeting with DDC and BDC members at Dak Bungalow here which aimed to get the first hand appraisal of their concerns pertaining to developmental pursuits. The DDC members highlighted several grievances and demands one on one, and sought their timely redressal in order to accomplish the goal of development at grass root level. On the occassion, Chairperson District Development Council Baramulla, Safeena Beigh highlighted several matters having developmental significance. She also appraised various issues and demands pertaining to developmental concerns wherein she sought personal intervention of the Union Minister for fulfilling the developmental aspirations. Chairperson DDC Baramulla highlighted various achievements in the district and put major demands of public interest including restoration of Mohra Power project in Uri, developmental of National Highway, Sanction of Solar Plants and development of tourist resorts in the district.  The Union Minister gave a patient hearing of all the grievances and demands and assured that all the developmental concerns of the PRIs shall be fulfilled so that the vision of democratic decentralisation is realised.  The minister also assured timely redressel of all the demands and grievances put forth by various delegations including the demands forwarded by Sikh Community. Union Minister conveyed his pleasure while Interacting with the Chairperson, members of the District Development Council for their strong efforts being made by them for holistic development of the district. He termed them as the real agents of socio-economic development at ground level and urged upon them to play a proactive role in the journey of development.
