DC Reasi reviews implementation of Ayushman Bharat -SEHAT scheme

REASI APRIL 26: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today reviewed the implementation of Ayushmaan Bharat Sehat scheme in the district, here at a meeting. The meeting was attended by representatives of Health Department besides others. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned stakeholders to achieve the 100% target in registration of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat Scheme at the earliest. The DC instructed the representative from Narayana Hospital to implement the scheme in letter and spirit for the benefit of the down-trodden people of the far-flung and rural pockets of the district. It is pertinent here to mention that Narayana Hospital is one of the empanelled hospital under Ayushmaan Bharat scheme. However Neuro-Surgery treatment is not covered under Ayushman Bharat Scheme in Narayan Hospital. In this context, the DC advised the representative of the Narayana Hospital to establish a counselling counter for the counselling of attendants of Neuro-Surgery patients to avoid obstacles and hiccups that stymie the treatment of the patient. She further added that such patients should immediately be shifted to superspeciality hospital Jammu or GMC Jammu without resorting to any dilly-dallying tactics. She also exhorted the representative from Narayana hospital to organise awareness camps in the periphery to aware the masses about the facilities which can be accessed in the hospital under Ayushman Bharat Scheme. The DC asked the concerned stakeholders to organise special camps, with the help of PRIs, in the rural areas to apprise the public about the benefits underlying the scheme. She urged medical representatives to put the list of hospitals in public domain which are empanelled under the scheme in Jammu and Kashmir. The DC also stressed upon the medical fraternity to treat the Ayushman Bharat patients with a sense of charity and compassion.
