Demolition drive held at Heerpora, Shopian

SHOPIAN, APRIL 27 (RNA) : The District Administration Shopian, under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani accompanied by ASP, Tehsildar Shopian, Enforcement team and police on Tuesday carried out a massive anti-encroachment drive at Heerpora Shopian. During the drive, the team demolished unlawful structures and other encroachments on Kahcharai land which led to the retrieval of many kanals of land from encroachers. On the occasion, ADC said that such drives shall continue in future also and no such unlawful activity will be allowed and appealed to people against the practice of encroaching state and common lands. He also instructed field functionaries to report encroachments promptly to the Revenue authorities so that evil practice is controlled at the very early stage.
