Ishfaq jabbar greets people on Eid ul Fitr

Srinagar, May 02: Former MLA Ganderbal and Senior Political Leader Shiekh Ishfaq jabbar has extended greetings of Eid-ul-Fitr to the people, praying for the peace and serenity of the UT. In a statement Jabbar said Eid celebrations will be “monumental” this year as Muslims enjoy the first holiday without Covid-19 restrictions since the pandemic began. Ishfaq said many traditions which were “sorely missed” over the last two years will finally return. Muslims will be now able to embrace one another after Eid prayers, get together for large gatherings, and give gifts to loved ones after two years of muted celebrations due to coronavirus. He further said that the government should ensure all requisite arrangements are put in place for smooth conduct of the festival. He also wished the people peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and hoped that this occasion would be a harbinger of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity.
