Farooq Shah demands compensation for Tangamrg Hailstorm affected

Srinagar May 6 (RNA) :Former Bureaucrate and National Conference leader Farooq Ahmad Shah on Friday expressed concern over the damage caused to crops and fruits due to the hailstorm in several villages of Tangmarg Tehsil. In a statement to RNA, Mr. Shah urged divisional and District Adminstration to provide compensation to the people whose crops were affected by the weather vagary. He urged horticulture and Agricultural department to send teams to the affected areas for an immediate damage assessment so that the compensation is provided to the affected without any fail. The NC leader added that horticulture and Agricultural was the backbone of the livelihood of the people in the area and any damage to the sector can cause huge economic stress to the people of the area . Farooq Shah appealed Divisional Commissioner to take immediate steps for compensating the affected .RNA
