CMO Poonch flouts rules, issues transfer orders without competence

Jammu, May 09 (RNA): In a brazen violation of order from the director , former Chief Medical Officer Poonch has issued transfer orders of officials without  seeking permission or even being competent to do so. Interestingly the transfers were allegedly affected at a time when he was already under transfer and was awaiting his reliever . Sources said that the CMO Poonch was already advised by the director last year not to make any transfer of staff by himself after a similar kind of transfer order was cancelled by the then director .However, despite the instructions, he issued transfer orders of Senior Opthomolgists. Documents lying with RNA suggest that the former CMO issued the transfers orders of Senior Optho Technicians on the recommendations of the BMO Mandi. Meanwhile Director General Family Welfare J&K who is also Director Health Jammu Dr Saleem ur Rehman told RNA that CMO can not transfer Pharmacists adding the orders would be cancelled if issued at all . " He can not do it. I will cancel that within one hour if he has done it ." Director Health Services Jammu told RNA over Phone.
