Yuva Tourism Club GDC Majalta visits Bhagavati Temple Manwal

UDHAMPUR, MAY 12 (RNA): The student members of newly established Yuva Tourism Club of Government Degree College, Majalta today visited eleventh century Bhagavati Temple in Manwal-a small town surrounded by Shivalik Hills and hardly seven kilometers away from the college campus.
A group of 28 students along with the Teachers in charge Dr. Parveen Kumari and Dr. Imran Hussain Shah visited the site and educated the students about history of the temple and other historical monuments.
A few students knew about the historical Temple and most of them visited the site for the first time.
Principal of the College Dr B B Anand, flagged off the “Yuva Tourism Club”. He said that the basic idea behind this initiative was to make aware the student community about our diversity, values and preservation of culture.
