DDC B’la Reviews Progress of Works under TAD Programme


Baramulla, July 04 (RNA): District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress made in different sectors identified under Transformation of Aspirational Districts programme.

Meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Mohammad Yousuf Rather, CEO, ACD, CMO, DSWO, officers from ICDS and other concerned departments.

On the occasion, DDC was briefed by the concerned officers, a detailed account of achievements recorded in the performance indicators viz health and nutrition, education, basic infrastructure, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion and skill development through the Power Point Presentation.

A thorough discussion with respect to the timely execution of developmental projects undertaken by various agencies, was held wherein DDC issued several directions to the officers. He directed the CMO to setup Kangaru Mother care in all medical blocks for better health intervention. District Project Officer ICDS was directed to register all pregnant women so that a comprehensive strategy and plan can be devised for better mother and child health care.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Itoo stressed for achieving the saturated results within the shortest possible time frame for which he directed to speed up the pace of work. He emphasized on convergence of various schemes to achieve the target fixed for 2019-20.

Meanwhile, various issues and bottlenecks hampering the path of development were discussed thoroughly wherein emphasis was laid on cooperation among various agencies so that the bottlenecks, if any are resolved in a time bound manner. (RNA)
