Shah faesal fails to draw expected crowd in maiden Uri rally

Srinagar, July 04 (RNA): " Well begun is half done" phrase was the driving force for Er. Rashid and his ally Dr. Shah Faesal last month when the former MLA Langeth stunned everyone by picking lead in border down of Uri in the parliament elections where he stood second only after National Conference, surprising many. But a little more than one month later, the situation seems to have taken a complete U-Turn. Both the leaders who were to share the platform together for the first time under their new banner PUF, would probably have wanted thousands to turn up in Uri Club where they kick started the election campaign for the unscheduled assembly polls to ignite the enthusiasm for the campaign ahead . But what surprised many was the little number of supporters turning up to the venue.

Though none of the organisers and their leaders were willing to comment on the unexpectedly less numbers of supporters --which many believe could not be more than few hundred- but privately they would certainly be worried and might be forced to re-stretegise their poll campaign.
If lead in Uri in parliament elections could be a matter of satesfaction, the low turn out of supporters today can also be a serious concern for the alliance which was still to roll out its actual road map for future. And if today's numbers were in any way an indication, then both the leaders were in deep trouble and might need to huddle again to see why the support is dwindling so fast and so quickly. (RNA)
