Srinagar, July 04 (RNA): Stating that Chontpathri would be developed as pilgrimage Tourism village, National conference leader Farooq Ahamd Shah Thursday said that the whole area in and around Chontpathri was an extremely beautiful area loaded with natural beauty and leisurely surroundings which needes to be channalised in a proper way to develop it as an attractive tourist destination. Mr. Shah was in the area on Thursday to meet locals and know about their problems and aspirations. During the interactions, the former IAS officer said that keeping its proximity with the famous shrine of BabaReshi, it can be also explored as a Pilgrimage tourist village. He said efforts would be made to develop the whole area so that not only economy gets a boost but also the opportunities of employment can be created.
Meanwhile the locals appreciated Mr Farooq Shah for his public outreach and said they were overwhelmed by his extensive touring of various areas which provide the locals a chance to put forth their problems. (RNA)
