Lack of ATM Facility evokes anger among Residents of Tral Villages


Tral, July 04 (RNA): Residents of upper reaches of Tral worry as there is shortage of ATM facility. The newly established  tehsil  Aripal in Tral sub-district of pulwama district of Kashmir is without an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). Joy of residents of Aripal Villages knew no bounds when the government declared Tehsil status for the place.
"We hoped that the Tehsil besides getting infrastructure would get all modern facilities relating to communication, banking, etc. But nothing has changed and the ground reality is different", said residents.

The residents said" despite widening the network of branches in the Valley and also in south Kashmir, The J&K Bank have not installed any ATM in the our Tehsil. Customers of the Aripal Branch of JK Bank said that they have been provided with ATM cards by the bank but they cannot avail the facility in the absence of ATM machines. “We are facing difficulty due to the non-availability of ATM" , Locals added.

"the Aripal Tehsil caters scores around 30 villages. customers are forced to visit nearby branch to sub district tral.  They said that they have no option other than J&K bank as it is the only branch available in their area and authority should immediately install ATM at least in Aripal Tehsil, so that we can avail the facility of our ATM cards."said locals.

This tardinous of the authority desperate as many as residents of 30 villages, Locals added.
