Javid Zarger elected President of HWJA

Handwara, July 07 (RNA): The working journalists of north Kashmir’s handwara today framed a New body, Handwara working journalists Association .
HWJA, which has 20 working journalist as members, held 2nd elections to choose various office bearer’s.
Javid zarger was elected as president, Shamim Abdullah Chairman, Tariq Raheem vice president, Raja Akber secretary, Atif Qayoom & Murtaza Mushtaq spokesperson and Mohd Ramzan Alahi Treasurer.
The elected body nominated Mudasir Rashid As executive member.
Senior Journalist and Ex president of HWJA, shamim Abdullah hailed the members for holding successful elections.
“Journalists in Kashmir, particularly journalists from north Kashmir work in a very challenging environment and these challenges can be face by supporting and coordinating with each other,” chief Spokesman Murtaza Mushtaq said, adding that HWJA is bound to highlight issues as they happen without taking sides.

“This is really good news for us that working journalists of handwara have come under a single platform after a gap of two years,” @ civil society handwara.
Besides it newly elected president HWJA javid zarger assured the fraternity that Various issues faced the HWJA will be brought into the notice of concerned deputy Commissioner soon including demand of Press Club in handwara.(RNA)
