DC Ganderbal review Stock position, AADHAR Seeding, POS Transactions in district


Ganderbal, July 08 (RNA): Duputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today chaired a meeting with the officials of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and Food Safety Department to review the AADHAR Seeding, POS Transactions, Stock position and marketing checking in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Shafqat Iqbal, CPO, Anika Mushtaq, Assistant Director FCS&CA, Mir Ali Mohd, TSOs and officials of Food Safety Department.
The meeting reviewed AADHAR Seeding, POS Transactions, status of POS machines, total beneficiaries seeded with AADHAR, digitization of Ration Cards, status of market checking besides Stock position of essential commodities in the district including  Baltal base camp.
Assistant Director FCS & CA briefed the meeting about the status of the AADHAR Seeding, POS Transactions and Stock position in the district.
The meeting was informed that out of 68202 Ration Cards, 82% Ration Cards are AADHAR seeded besides 100% Ration Cards are digitized in the district.
Regarding transition through POS, the meeting was informed that 103 POS are functional in the district. While reviewing the status of AADHAR Seedling, the DC directed the TSOs to start massive awareness camp in their respect tehsils and blocks to achieve 100% AADHAR Seedling of Ration Cards in the district.
Later, DC also reviewed the stock position of essential commodities like rice, atta, sugar, kerosene and LPG in the district including at Baltal base camp. The Assistant Director FCS & CA informed that sufficient stock of all essential commodities is available in the district to cater the needs during ongoing Yatra.
While reviewing the status of market checking in the district, DC directed the officials to intensify the market checking drives to check the illegal profiteering, adulteration and black marketing in all areas of the district. He said that such drives should be conducted regularly so that the general public would not be cheated at any cost. (RNA)
