Two boys injured in mysterious blast in Kulgam

Srinagar, July 14 (RNA): Two youth were injured, one of them crirticaly when they smashed a mysterious object with a stone triggering an explosion at
Devsar in Kulgam this afternoon.
Reports suggest that a mysterious blast occurred on the road when two student touched a round ball like object at Chaean area of Kulgam.
Police had identified the injured persons as Sandeep Kumar son of Santish Kumar from Chhattisgarh and Suhail Ahmad Bhat son of Sajad Bhat a resident of Chaean Adigam.
Both the injured were shifted to District Hospital Kulgam where from one critically wounded identified Sandeep was referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for specialized treatment, they said.
Meanwhile Police has issued a statement late afternoon saying the duo was fiddling with the object before they smashed it with stone.
"Today on 14-07-2019 at near about 1600 hrs two boys who were returning from orchards at Cheyan reached on main road. As they reached main road they found an object in a freshly dug up site where a pump is being installed.
The boys started fiddling with it. When they smashed it with stone it bursted resulting in injuries to the duo identified as Sandip Kumar S/O Satish Kumar R/O chatisgarh, Sahil Ah Bhat s/o Gowher Ahmad R/O Cheyan. Sandip Kumar has recieved serious injuries and has been shifted to Srinagar while as Sahil Ahmad has recieved minor injury.
BDS team is on job for clearing the site of any explosive substance. Police team on spot for preliminary investigation. FIR has been registered in Police Station Devsar further investigation." Said the statement. (RNA)
