Farooq Shah wants Chandil and other places to be developed as Eco- Tourist destination

Srinagar, July 14 (RNA): Regretting that people of Gulmarg Consituency were deceived by " fake" promises by local MLAs during last sixteen years, National Conference leader Farooq Ahmad Shah Sunday said that the area had a vast potential of Tourism but these areas were left underdeveloped and unattended. During his visit to Chandil Mr. Shah said that the place including Baderkote, Ringawali, darakashi,zandpal etc were one of the most beautiful places in the entire Consituency and needed to be developed as an attractive Eco- Tourist destination. He said the area was confronting with immense problems and nobody in last sixteen years seems to have even thought of addressing the problems. He said the area doesn't even have a medical facility. The former IAS officer added that raising a building only without equipment and staff was nothing but a cruel joke in the name of providing health care facilities. He however said that the development of such areas would be undertaken on priority when Omar Abdullah will assume power.
Mr. Shah urged people to teach lesson to those who have failed them and their mandate and said the time has come when the people of Gulmarg Consituency should vote for a change.
Meanwhile scores of DPN workers have joined NC on Farooq Shah's presence. (RNA)
