Iron bridge en-route Amernath develops snag
Authorities direct R&B to fix problem immediately

Srinagar, July 16 (RNA): A steel bridge has developed cracks in the abetments en-route holy Amernath Cave in district Ganderbal forcing authorities to direct R&B for immediate intervention. Sources told RNA that the abetments of the iron bridge between Neekgrar and sarbal have started sliding owing to losing of base due to fast water currents beneath. Though the bridge is still motorable but it’s one of the two abetments has started drooping which can cause problems in the flow of the traffic. The problem, according to sources was reported by ITBP commander deployed in the area and the Road Opening Party on Tuesday morning. RNA has learnt from sources that Executive Engineer R&B Ganderbal was asked to fix the problem immediately. (RNA)
