JKPM concerned over lack of civic amenities in shangus: Iqbal Tahir


Anantnag, July 18 (RNA): JKPM Vice President Advocate Syed Iqbal Tahir has expressed concern over the lack of development and basic civic amenities in various areas of Shanghus constituency.
During his extensive visit to various areas of Shanghus constituency, Iqbal Tahir was informed by the locals that there was total lack of infrastructural development and the people were facing terrible hardships due to no availablity of basis facilities. The people alledged that success Governments in past have neglected the area in terms of development adding that political apathy was mainly responsible for their miserable plight .
The local populace allegedly that they
continue to suffer for want of adequate healthcare, drinking water, electricity, education and road connectivity facilities.They blamed that although the area posses abundant fresh water springs, the Government has failed to tap the potential resulting in poor irrigation facilities in the area.

Iqbal Tahir was informed that the main roads leading to the constituency are in dilapidated condition and were not macadamized for last one decade. They said that Shangus constituency also been neglected on tourism front despite having vast tourism potential.
The residents alleged that funds sanctioned under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes have not been utilized judiciously.
Iqbal Tahir assured the public that JKPM leadership will leave no stone unturned to address developmental deficit in the area with the active cooperation of the people. (RNA)
