DDC B’la Chairs Public Outreach Camp at Dangiwacha

People Appraised Several Grievances, Demands Pertaining Developmental Concerns


Baramulla, July 18 (RNA): With an aim to get the first hand appraisal of public grievances, District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today chaired a day long public outreach camp at Govt Higher Secondary School Dangiwacha which marked the participation of various delegations, deputations, representatives of the area and other stakeholders form Dangiwacha and its adjoining areas.

Among others ADC Sopore Ashiq Hussain Lilly, CEO, SE's, besides District and Sectoral ,Engineers were present on the occasion.

On the occasion, various issues and demands were highlighted during which the people sought personal intervention of the DDC for their timely disposal.

A delegation demanded postings of Block Development Officer (BDO) for Kandi Block and Child Development Protection Officer (CDPO) for Dangiwacha. They also demanded Sub District Hospital (SDH) for Dangiwacha so that healthcare system is improved. Other demands extended by them includes the completion of Pazalpora-Hamam Road and Lift Irrigation Scheme from Yarbug to Fidarpora.

Another delegation demanded road widening from Dangiwacha to Yarbug adding that the current narrow road creates a lot of inconvenience to commuters. They also demanded the construction of bridge connecting Madanan to Pazalpora and extended other demands of vital public importance.

A deputation demanded Govt Transport facility from Dangiwacha to Sopore/Baramulla and vice-versa wherein the DDC directed the concerned to immediately initiate the transport facility on the said routes. They also demanded cooperation from Horticulture and allied departments in providing expertise and suggestions so that better yields of production is ensured. The DDC directs the Chief Horticulture Officer to conduct field visits and provide every support to the farmers with regard to soil health, pest and disease control.

A Sarpach of the concerned village appraised the DDC that illegal construction of residential houses is being made on agriculture land and demands the initiation of legal action by the administration during which the Tehsildar concerned was directed to act on the same. Other demands and grievances that were highlighted on the ocassion includes macdimization of inner link roads, uninterrupted water and power supply, availability of essential commodities etc.

Meanwhile, the DDC had a patient hearing of the grievances and demads and assured that all the genuine issues shall be solved in a time bound manner.

DDC on the occasion stressed upon the officers to provide every basic facility to the people adding that District administration is committed to provide every facility to the people. DDC said that government has lunched various schemes and programmes for the people and urged upon them to come forward and avail the benefits. (RNA)
