Srinagar, July 19 (RNA): State Women and Child Rights Commission has ordered an enquiry into the death of twin new born babies in Lala Ded Hospital Srinagar. The commission has taken a suo-moto notice of media reports regarding the " unfortunate death" of twin babies who according to their father Abid Sofi died due to "mishandling" of cases in the hospital.
According to RNA, the commission's Chairperson Vasundhara Masoodi in an order Vide Number SCPWCR/01/2019 dated 19/07/2019 has decided to constitute an enquiry to find out the facts.
Meanwhile the Chairperson State Women's Commission and Child Rights Vasundhara Masoodi confirmed to RNA about the development and said that the commission has taken a suo-moto notice of the issue as it appeared in the press and social media, besides an open letter was sent to Governor by the father of the twins. She also said that the Committee for holding the enquiry would be constituted by Monday. (RNA)
