People across the state have made it a point to put NC into the steering position of state: NC

Sagar, Rana address massive workers convention in Inderwal

Srinagar, July 22 (RNA): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Monday said the people of the state are enthusiastically and impatiently waiting for the election trumpet to be blown to give reins of power into the hands of National Conference.

Addressing a mammoth gathering at Chatroo, Inderwal in Kishtawar party’s general secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar said the people have discerned between a benefactor and an enemy. “People have seen it all with their open eyes, as to what sort of ordeals people had to go through during the reign of former BJP-PDP government. People remember how their precious mandate was berated and belittled. The explicit memories of the people are still afresh with the sheer incompetency of the former coalition government to rise up to the expectations of people and deliver on development front. Now people across the state have made it a point to put NC into the steering position of state administration. People have pinned their hopes on the capable and sincere leadership of Omar Abdullah as they have now seen the real face of BJP, PDP and other outfits. On one hand you have NC which symbolizes development, and pluralism; and on the other hand you have BJP, PDP, and the free flowing vagabonds whose sole agenda is to frustrate every attempt towards giving the state a stable government.”

“It is National Conference, which boasts the panacea for the plethora of problems the state is facing. We are particularly alive to the problems faced by people in the far flung areas. Developing Chenab and Pir Panchal areas crowns the agenda of our party. Our party has made it clear from time to time that no sooner it forms the government it will initiate decentralization and delegation of powers to remote areas. Party leadership has vowed to invest heavily in the road, electricity, and health infrastructure of the Chenab and Pir Panchal regions. No sooner we have our hands on the reins of power in the state we will ensure greater investment in Chenab and Pir Panchal areas. Unfortunately other parties have been selling you catch words in the form of development. The dream of developed J&K is impossible without the development of Chenab districts and Pir Panchal Districts. We have a capable leadership in these areas representing our party, who will help the party visualize its dream ushering development in these areas,” he said, “However we are denied to have an elected government. We have a governor in place whose negatively predisposed mind towards democratic process is known to all. There are forces at play both at center and the center as are feeling threatened by the idea of having a strongly mandated government at the helms of affairs in the state.”

Sagar while extolling the role of party functionaries, YNC Jammu and workers said that there was a wave in favor of NC in Pir Panchal, and Chenab areas. “I take this opportunity to applaud the toil of our party functionaries in the Jammu division for working tireless towards the socio-political emancipation of the people of Jammu irrespective of their caste creed.

Among others party’s additional general Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustufa Kamal, provincial president Devendar Singh Rana, Sajjad Kitchloo, YNC provincial president Aijaz Jan, Syed Rafiq also addressed the workers on the occasion. The leaders asked the leaders to increase their engagement with the people. (RNA)
