"Go green Handwara" rally organised in Handwara

Srinagar, July 23 (RNA): An Eco- awareness rally has been launched in Handwara town of Kupwara district in North Kashmir Tuesday morning appealing people to avoid use of plastics and save the environment from further degradation. They also appealed people to keep the town " green and clean". According to RNA Handwara reporter, nearly half a dozen associations , School Children, local adminstration and Drug departmemt have come together to organise the rally which is also stressing on anti- drug campaign. The drug departmemt has out my placards urging people to make the society drug free and appealing youth to keep themselves away from the drugs.
The rally is also joined by Chemists and Drug Association Handwara, Bungus Development Forum , Monarch School, Handwara RA Society , Kudo Association Handwara, Gojar Pahari Forum, Bungus Paradigm, Handwara Journalist Association, Local Adminstration and police and Muncipal Committee Handwara.
The rally was led by Tehsildar Handwara Saleem Shams who was accompanied by MC President Masroor Banday, Bungas Valley Dev Youth Forum members Rayees Geelani,Javed Ahmad Zarger,G R Geelani ,Ajaz Sofi,Drug Officer
Dr. Shabir and many others including school children. (RNA)
