03 HM Militants arrested, ammunition recovered: Police

Srinagar, July 23 (RNA): Srinagar Police arrested three HM Militants, who were involved in firing on SPO Romaan at Chana Pora and several grenade throwing incidents and other terror crimes in Srinagar & Jammu cities.
They have been identified as Asif Iqbal Dar & Shahid Hassan Dar residents of Soura and Rasheed Lateef Mir resident of Barzulla. They were affiliated with proscribed terror outfit HM and were wanted by law for their complicity in a series of terror crimes. The arrests were made after series of human and technical investigative techniques used by Police.
As per police records they had history of terror crime records and were involved in planning and executing several terror crimes in J&K along with their terror associates. During investigation it was learnt that Junaid Shehrai commander of proscribed terror outfit HM was part of this group which carried out these terror attacks. They were involved in attack on SPO Romaan at Chanapora on 27/3/2019 in which he sustained injuries besides grenade throwing incidents in Jammu & Srinagar.
Incriminating materials which include ammunition, live rounds were recovered from their possession. Police has registered a case under relevant sections of law in this regard. Further investigation in the matter is going on. (RNA)
