D. P Bandipora, Fayaz Ahamad Malik, sworn in to the office


Srinagar, July 25 (RNA): Amid rousing applause, recently elected District President Bandipora, Fayaz Ahmad Malik, was formally sworn in to the post. The function was attended by all the zonal presidents of the district besides a large number of teachers. Prominent leaders who graced the function included Mohammad Ishaq Ganie (State Vice-President), Shabir Ahmad Bhat (state body leader) , Ghulam Nabi Sofi (Provincial Vice-president) , Javeed Ahmad Malik (Provincial Press Secretary) and Syed Sajad Ahmad (state body leader). The function started with the recitation of the verses of Holy Quran which was followed by speeches by the zonal presidents. In their address, all the zonal presidents hailed the contribution of the incumbent District President as a vital member of teachers forum. Ghulam Nabi Sofi reiterated the need to strengthen the forum at grass root level. He praised the contribution of Sharif-ud-din who held the mantle of District Presidentship before Fayaz Ahmad Malik . Mohammad Ishaq Ganie congratulated the incumbent District President and expressed the hope that the district will prosper in his leadership. He said that Fayaz Ahmad Malik is an experienced campaigner and a great leader. Javid Ahmad Malik while congratulating the newly elected District president said that his predecessor has set high standards and he is highly hopeful that the incumbent carries forward the legacy left by his predecessor. Shabir Ahmad Bhat said that under the dynamic leadership of the incumbent District President, the basic structure of the forum will be further strengthened. Syed Sajad Ahmad also congratulated the district president. On this occasion the incumbent District President, Fayaz Ahmad Malik, was turbanised and garlanded by the state and provincial body leaders. The district and zonal body leaders of District Bandipora reciprocated in equal terms and garlanded the state and provincial body leaders. After the formal culmination of the function, the district president accompanied by the state and provincial body leaders called on District Development Commissioner Bandipora in his office chamber. Worthy District Development Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the delegation and said that teachers forum will be taken as a vital stake holder in all the decisions pertaining to the functioning of the education department in the district. Later, the delegation met Chief Education Officer Bandipora who presented a very employee friendly and cordial attitude. Both the officers acknowledged the role of teachers forum in the resolution of issues regarding teaching fraternity. (RNA)
