PDP to observe it's Foundation Day today

Srinagar, July 28 (RNA): Amid rumours of abrogation of Special Status of Jammu and Kashmir , People's Democratic Party is observing it's Foundation Day today . The party would hold a mega rally at Srinagr where party's senior leaders including President and former Chief Minster Mehbooba Mufti would be adressing the party caders. The party according to sources is expecting a mammoth gathering which if happened would send out a message about PDP'S relivence even in the prevailing political challanges . A senior PDP leader associated with the arrangements for today's function told RNA that nearly fifteen thousand invitation cards were sent out to its caders . He said the party leadership was expecting an unprecedented gathering where Mehbooba Mufti may make some important policy decision with regard to party . He said though all senior party leaders have also been invited to the event, a few senior leaders may skip the show. Another senior leader told RNA that party leadership wanted to put a joint face in the mega event aimed to dispel the rumours of another wave of dissent brewing within the party.
" This is a very crucial stage for our party. We are expecting thousands of supporters to show up in the event. If that realy happened, this will reinforce confidence in the party leadership and we can oppose the current political onslaught more vehmently." a senior leader told RNA. (RNA)
