Jammu, July 29 (RNA): National Conference on Monday called for restoration of peace on Line of Control where cross border shelling has become a new normal and is taking toll over the lives of villagers.
Provincial president of youth NC Jammu, Ajaz Jan issued the statement while visiting GMCH Jammu where he met with the two person who sustained multiple injuries in cross border shelling in Shahpur village of Poonch.
Jan said that a twelve days old infant fell prey to the shelling and one can imagine the hostilities which border residents are facing that even newly born ones aren't safe.
He demanded five lakh rupees compensation for those who sustained injuries in shelling and ten lakh rupees for family of deceased.
He also said that prime minister of both India and Pakistan should come forward for dialogue and peace talks and to prevent loss of lives along Line of Control. (RNA)
