Congress and local parties destroyed Kashmir: Mujeeb

Says, "Corruption has plagued our society"

Srinagar, July 29 (RNA): Accusing local political parties and Congress for destroying the state with their " corrupt" practices, Senior Political Activist Mujeeb Sidiqui monday said that the erruption of millitancy in Kashmir was the result of the " corruption" in the mainstream polity. He appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minster Amit Shah's resolve of weeding out corruption from the Political system of the state and said youth would certainly appreciate the move. In a conversation with RNA city reporter during his Youth convention in Srinagar , Mujeeb said that People's Conference Chairman Sajad Gani lone was an iconic youth leader who has been so much involved in the youth development and their welfare.
Mujeeb -who contested assembly elections in 2008 has come from a very influential business family in Srinagar said that like Sajad he was also the worst victim of unrest as his Father and mother were killed together on bed in mid 90s when he was just a 12 years old kid . He said his father would bring home people who were arrested owing to his good connections with establishment but added that, the gesture costed him his life.
" I am the victim of these turbulent situations. I have seen my father and mother drenched in pool of blood when I was just 12. How can I forget that." Mujeeb told RNA, adding that eversince that dreadfull incident , the mainstream political parties including Congress used him to their advantage .
He said nobody had mercy on his helplessness but everyone of them tried to take political mileage of his orphanage. He criticised Congress for bringing Kashmir to the point of no return and said , " They have destroyed Kashmir.Their policies were an utter failure that is now costing Kashmir hugely." Said Sidiquie.
While appreciating Prime Minster and Home Minster for their resolve to clean Kashmir from "corrupt", Mujeeb said that the drive should be taken to its logical conclusion so that the youth who have been not only victimised but marginalized can get reprieve and their confidence in the system is restored. He demanded that a Committee should be consituted by the Central Government which can probe the assets of all buracartes and Politicians in Kashmir.
He urged Governor to order " asset audit" of all politicians and bureacrates in the state and said that , corruption had plagued the society.
He expreprssed hope that BJP would bring a positive change in the system and claimed that people were appreciating any attempt that was aimed to clean the system.
Lashing out at PDP President Mehbooba Mufti for her " Jail remarks" , Mujeeb said that nothing will happen if she goes behind the bars.
" We have lost parents, if they go to jail, heavens will not fall." he said.
" My Father took a stand in 1990 for which he was killed. I still am not able to come to terms " said he, adding that People's Conference Chairman Sajad Gani lone was also a victim of similar circumstances.
" Some people say, he has a BJP tag, I want to tell them, he was with Hurriyat too. Why don't they say, he has a Hurriyat tag." asked he.
He said that Sajad Lone was kept away from his children for a long time by Congress in league with local political parties which was so pathetic and " inhuman".He added that now some leaders have emerged from nowhere, claiming to be saviours for Kashmiri youth, but according to Mujeeb, they do not know anything about Kashmir as they spent most of the time in foreign lands for studies and have come from the families which had separatist ideology in 90s.
He added that like Lone he too wanted to do something for youth and would not shy away in joining hands with those who realy care for the youth. (RNA)
