Senior Congress leader from North Kashmir likely to quit


Srinagar, July 30 (RNA): In what could be a major embarssmnet of Congress party, a senior leader and one time Indira Gandhi's close aid, Advocate Mohamamd Muzaffar Parry is likely to quit the party and cross over to some other camp. Sources within the Congress Party told RNA that Mr. Parry may announce his resignation on Wednesday. They added that he was currently in touch with his workers before taking a final call.

The former MLC, hailing from Hygam in Sangrama Consituency of Baramulla District, was associated with the party from last fourth four years and is understood to have decided to quit following his disagreement with the party top brass in the state over so many issues. He was also _ according to sources_ dissatisfied with the working of the party.
Meanwhile when contacted, Muzaffar Parry told RNA that though he has not taken any decision as yet, but added that he was certainly thinking on it.
While expressing anguish over the working of the party, the Vetern Congress leader said, "Congress has not lived upto my expectations. My son and brother were killed .My house, orchards were tourtured for this party. What did I get in return." asked emotional Parray who had contested the 1983 Parliament elections with former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi as his main driving force and mentor.
He further told RNA that "Congress camp was full of " conspirators" and he was fed up with the system and wanted get respite. (RNA)
