JKMP committed to safeguard identity, integrity of the state: Dr. Nazir


Srinagar, July 30 (RNA): JKMP leader Dr Nazir Lone has reiterated resolve of his party to protect honour and identity of the people of the state at all costs.
Speaking at a meeting of the JKMP workers and office bearers at Nagam in Chrari Sharif today, Dr Lone expressed his concern over the rumours about abrogation of Art35- A adding that fiddling with Art. 370 and Art 35-A shall have dangerous repercussions.
The meeting was held as a sequel to the party's mass contact and public out reach initiative to get first hand information about the problems confronting people at ground level.
While condemning efforts of some opportunistic political parties to divide the communities on the basis of religion and region for petty political interests, Dr Lone said that JKPM would rise like a rock to protect the pluralistic character of the state adding that unity in diversity was the hallmark of state's rich culture and ethos

"JKPM would repulse with full might any move to change the state's demography, " Dr Lone maintained adding that his party was committed to safeguard Art. 370 and Art 35-A of the Constitution, which gaurantees special status to the Jammu and Kashmir state.

Dr Nazir Ahmad Lone explained the necessity of forming Jkpm by Dr Shah Faisal and said that curbing the menace of corruption and nepotism from the administration has been flagged as the first priority in the party agenda to provide justice to the turmoil ravaged people of the state.He said JKPM stands for state's total political au
emancipation and economic self- sufficiently adding that JKMP would leave no stone unturned to accomplish the mission.
He asked the party activists to educate the masses about the policies and programms of the party and expand party out reach in length and breadth of the state.
The meeting resolved that jkpm Chrarisharief unit shall provide its full support the party high command to protect state's identity and dignity.
The Issue about scarcity of drinking water at Takiya Nagam also came up under discussion and it was impressed upon district administration to redress the genuine grievance of the residents of Takiya Nagam earnestly.
Master Gh Mohiuddin and Ayub Haider also spoke in the meeting. (RNA)
