Muzaffar Parray says Good bye to Congress after 44 years

Calls, Congress a "bunch of conspirators".


Srinagar, July 30 (RNA): Senior Congress leader and former MLC Advocate Mohamamd Muzaffar Parray has resigned from the Party's basic membership after remaining associated with the grand old party for 44 years . Sources told RNA, that the former MLC unhappy with some senior leaders of the State unit of party who were ignoring him . Parray in his resignation letter to UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi has however, expreprssed his anguish for what he said , Party's departure from the basic principles of the party and said he was not allowed to meet her and her son and former Party President Rahul Gandhi.

He in his letter to Sonia has regretted for not given appointment to meet her and Rahul Gandhi by the negative role of some leader _ whome he did not name_ and claimed that they knew , he would expose them.
While justifying his decission to leave Congress, Mr. Parray said in his letter that deserting the camp was not because the party has been put to rout, but due to its departure from the basic philosophy of the party. He said he was dismayed for not being provided an audience by her and Rahul Gand

Earlier in the day , RNA had carried a story about Parray's intentions of dumping the Congress .
The former MLC , hailing from Hygam in Sangrama Consituency of Baramulla District, was associated with the party from last fourth four years and is understood to have decided to quit following his disagreement with the party top brass in the state over so many issues. He was also -according to sources_ dissatisfied with the working of the party.
Meanwhile when contacted , Muzaffar Parry told RNA that he was feeling chocked in the party amid huge consipiracies.
While expressing anguish over the working of the party, the Vetern Congress leader said, "Congress has not lived upto my expectations. My son and brother were killed .My house, orchards were tourtured for this party. What did I get in return." asked emotional Parray who had contested the 1983 Parliament elections with former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi as his main driving force and mentor.
He further told RNA that "Congress camp was full of " conspirators" and he was fed up with the system and wanted get respite. (RNA)
