Shah Shahib Qalander (RA) Urs On 2 & 3 August

Ganderbal, July 31 (RNA): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference senior leader and former MLA Ganderbal in a statement has impressed on the local administration to make all possible arrangements for the forthcoming Urs of Hazrat Shah Shahib Qalander ( RAH) at Qasba Lar and Wutlar.

Sheikh Ishfaq has felicitated people of the Qasba Lar and Wutlar area on the annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Shahib Qalander (RA).

The former MLA has stressed the officers to ensure that the devotees coming to offer their obeisance to the revered shrine do not face any inconvenience, adding they should work in complete synergy to ensure the smooth celebration of the Urs days.

Sheikh Ishfaq has assured the people that he has raised the issue of arrangements with Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal and has enjoined upon the officers of the district administration to chalk out a plan for the Urs days and make sure all possible facilities and arrangements are put in place for the devotees coming from various places.

The former MLA has asked ARTO Ganderbal to ensure transport facility is available for the pilgrims who visit the shrine and Chief Medical Officer to arrange best medicare facilities and emergency ambulance services in and around the shrines during the Urs days.

Regarding the issue of power supply, drinking water availability in the area during the Urs days, the former MLA has urged the concerned officers to keep electricity 24x7 during the urs days and provide safe drinking water to the people and the pilgrims, respectively.

Mr Jabbar has also stressed officers of Municipal Committee Ganderbal to ensure cleanliness drives are initiated in and around the localities of the shrine, the statement said.

Ishfaq has also stressed on the Waqaf board authorities of the shrine to work in collaboration with the district administration so that facilities are provided to the pilgrims.

The annual Urs Mubarak will be celebrated on 2nd & 3rd August (Friday & Saturday) at Qasba Lar and Wutlar. (RNA)
