20 Specialist doctors selected under NHM in record time to improve Maternal & Child health care services in the State


Srinagar, July 31 (RNA): With a view to increase access for improved maternal & child health care services across the State, National Health Mission, J&K issued selection list for as many as 20 Specialist doctors through walk-in interview on 30th & 31st July 2019 at Jammu and Srinagar in a record time. To ensure transparency the competent authority issued the selection lists on the same day of walk-in interviews. The selected doctors have been posted in various health institutions of the State especially in NICUs (Neonatal Intensive Care Units), Special Newborn Care Units (SNCUs), High Dependency Units (HDUs) and various peripheral health care institutions.

Sh Bhupinder Kumar, Mission Director, NHM, J&K in a statement said that State Health Society selected 20 Specialist doctors in various specialities which include 07 Gynaecologists, 07 Anaesthetists, and 04 Paediatricians & 02 Radiologists for supplementing the health care institutions. He further said that the State of Jammu & Kashmir is committed and is taking adequate measures including hiring of manpower in a transparent manner for providing quality healthcare services to the public.

He further said that the focus of National Health Mission shall continue to remain on deployment of skilled health work force for providing specialised services in rural and remote areas masses including tertiary care institutions, he added. (RNA)
