No alliance, BJP will go solo in assembly elections: Ram Madav

Says, won’t be intimidated with ‘bomb’ threats by politicians

Srinagar, July 31 (RNA): Demanding the holding of assembly elections before the expiry of current term of President’s rule in January, BJP Wednesday said that it has begun preparations for the much awaited poll exercise but said the party will not make alliance with any party and will field candidates on all eighty seven seats of the state.

According to RNA, Mr. Madav while addressing a press conference in Srinagar said that like militancy, Corruption was also a huge issue in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and demanded that government must uproot the menace .

“Corruption has been a major issue here which has been hampering the development. Thousand of crores have been coming from New Delhi for development but that never reached to the grass root.” Claimed Mr. Madav , adding that now the time has come when the corruption also would be uprooted and said BJP demands an all-out effort to weed out corruption from Governor administration.

Without naming the National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, the BJP general Secretary said, “One is being questioned in Chandigarh today. If some other is questioned in Srinagar tomorrow, what is the problem? No matter how big you are, the corrupt won’t be spared.” Said Madav

He also indirectly took pot shots on PDP President Mehbooba Mufti though without naming her and said, “ Gone were the days when politicians would intimidate with bomb threats. We are n not going to get intimidated by this.” He said, in an obvious reference to Mehboobas’ recent article 35- remarks.

Mr. Madav also said that militancy would be uprooted completely and said not only killing the militants but all those who provide support and the institutions would be brought to book.

“You have seen from last one year the efforts of GOI. Only neutralizing militants is not enough, but action under law has been taken against those over ground workers and the institutions who have been supporting them like Hurriyat and Jamat e Islami . The process of taking action against the businessmen, political people who have been indirectly helping them is also on.” Said Mr. Madav. (RNA)
