Government Sanctions Medical College at Handwara and Udampur

Srinagar, July 31 (RNA): As the Governor Satya Pal Malik is scheduled to inaugurate the Medical College at Baramulla in north Kashmir on Thursday, the government on Wednesday evening sanctioned another medical college in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The prestigious college would established at Handwara . Another Medical College has been sanctioned in Udampur district.
In a letter to Deputy Commissioners of Kupwara and Udampur, the Joint Secretary ( Planning), health and Medical Education vide number HD/Plan/50/2019 dated 31-07-2019 has asked them to identify the land at Handwara and Udampur for the establishment of medical colleges in the two districts.
Meanwhile People’s conference Chairman and former minister Sajad Gani lone while tagging the order to his twitter handle congratulated the people of Kupwara district.
“Congrats people of district Kupwara. Great news. Medical College at Handwara .” tweeted Lone, who also hails from the town represented the constituency in the previous assembly. (RNA)
