MC to Handwara was possible owing to Distt Hospital which I brought 35 years back: Chaudry Ramzan

Srinagar, July 13 (RNA): Terming the sanctioning of Medical college at Handwara an extremely ‘ good news’ for the people of Handwara and the entire North Kashmir, National conference leader and former minister chaudry Mohammad Ramzan has said that it was due to his efforts nearly thirty five years back for establishing district hospital in the town, that is even now bearing the fruits. Speaking to RNA , the NC leader who has represented the Handwara Constituency many times in the assembly said, that the decision for sanctioning the Medical College in the Handwara town was due to the district Hospital which has made the town eligible for the prestigious college.
‘ The order clearly mentions that the district hospitals in Handwara and Udampur have qualified for up gradation as Medical colleges. It was me who brought the full fledged district hospital to the town in 1983 .” claimed the former minster , adding that it was sheer politics if someone now comes out to take credit .
“ they could not do it in their own government. And when the Governor administration ahs done it, they seem to be fooling people in taking the credit .” said the NC leader, adding that this was certainly an extremely good news for not only Handwara people but also for the people of entire North Kashmir. He thanked Governor Satya Pal Malik for sanctioning the college and said the decision would provide youth from rural and far flung areas an opportunity to excel and explore themselves more efficiently.
