Sopore Police seizes illicit timber, arrests 04 timber smugglers

Sopore, Aug 02 (RNA): Police in Sopore arrested 04 timber smugglers and seized illicit timber.
Acting on specific information, Sopore Police headed by SDPO Rafiabad and SHO Police Station Panza arrested four timber smugglers from forest area of Muqam Shalkot Rafiabad.
Identified as Abdul Majeed Najar, Irshad Ahmad, Nisar Ahmad Najar residents of Muqam Shalkot and Bilal Ahmad Lone resident of Muqam Shalkot. Logs of illicit timber have been seized by the officers. Arrested individuals have been shifted to Police Station Panzla where they remain in custody.
Police has registered a case FIR No. 56/2019 under relevant sections & initiated investigation in the matter.
