Srinagar, Mar 30 (RNA) In a review meeting conducted to take stock of constituency wise preparedness for GELS 2024, all relevant and concomitant aspects were discussed in detail viz. security plan for polling locations/polling booth (as per sensitivity of the location), security of strong room, collection/distribution centre of EVM machines, transport and route plan, induction & de-induction, communication plan, law and order, SOP in case of any exigency, surveillance over the activities of OGWs, surrendered/ released terrorists, history sheeters, trouble mongers, misuse of social media, monitoring of movement of polling parties, accommodation of CAPF, security plan for venues of Public meetings and arrangement for procession/rallies etc.
Directions were issued to the officers present in the meeting to work in close coordination with Civil Administration and other CAPF engaged in the election process in the district for conduct of smooth and incident free General Parliamentary Elections-2024. Focus on keeping an eye over planned subversive activities by ANEs, and proper reporting channels by strengthening PCRs was also emphasised.
