Modi Washing Machine, Modi Washing Powder; Congress jibes BJP for dropping charges against Praful Patel

Modi Washing Machine, Modi Washing Powder; Congress jibes BJP for dropping charges against Praful Patel

Khera gives live demonstration of ‘Modi washing powder/machine’

NEW DELHI, March 30: The Congress today held the Bharatiya Janata Party in dock over dropping of charges against the former Nationalist Congress Party leader Praful Patel, who has now joined the former Nationalist Congress Party leader Praful Patel, who has now joined the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) leader Praful Patel, an ally of the BJP.
The Congress spokesperson and chairman of the party’s media and publicity in the Communication Department of the AICC, Pawan Khera gave a live demonstration of, what he called, “Modi washing powder” and “Modi washing machine”, drawing symbolic parallels with the BJP that every “tainted” leaders’ taint gets washed away once he gets into this “washing machine” (the BJP).
At the same time, he asserted that all those officers who became willing partners with the current regime in undermining the democracy and constitution will be held to account.
Addressing a press conference, Khera pointed out, how the leaders who are accused to be tainted while in other parties, get “washed, cleaned and stain-free” once they are put in the “Modi washing machine” and washed with “Modi washing powder”.
Referring to the recent development of the Central Bureau of Investigation closing a case against Patel, the Congress spokesperson pointed out, it was more than clear now that as long as a leader remains with the opposition, he is corrupt and tainted and the moment he gets into the “washing machine” (joins the BJP or its allies), he gets a clean chit as has happened in Patel’s case.
He said, there were 21 other prominent political leaders who faced serious charges of corruption, but were issued clean chit and rehabilitated suitably once they joined the BJP like Himanta Biswa Sarma, Mukul Roy, Suvendhu Adhikari, Narayan Rane, Ashok Chavan and many others.
He pointed out, the BJP had accused Patel of unnecessarily getting aeroplanes on lease which cost the Air India Rs 3000 crore which was allegedly pocketed by the then UPA government. He pointed out, this is obvious that either those charges were incorrect and the BJP was wrong then, or if these charges were correct then BJP is wrong now by closing the investigation.
Referring to the BJP’s “washing machine”, Khera said, it was so magical that even if Dawood Ibrahim went into it, he may come out clean, may be he turns into a Rajya Sabha member inside the machine.
He said, the Modi government had turned everything into a joke and this joke must end now as it had turned into a “cruel joke”.
He also made it categorically clear to all those officers who had taken partisan positions that they will be dealt with firmly once the government changes. “We will go after every single officer of these (investigating) agencies who has willingly become a party to undermining our democracy and constitution. No one will be spared”, he asserted.
