Illegal extraction & transportation of minerals

Srinagar, April 11 (RNA) : Cracking a whip on illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police have seized 02 vehicles and arrested 02 drivers in Baramulla. A police party under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri assisted by SHO PS Kreeri seized 02 vehicles (tractors) & arrested 2 drivers namely Nisar Ahmad Allie son of Bashir Ahmad & Imtiyaz Ahmad Itoo @ Faisal son of Gh Hassan both residents of Waripora Payeen involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Kreeri. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Kreeri and further investigation has been initiated. People are requested not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law.
