DDC B’la Chairs Public Outreach Camp at Pattan


 BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 23 (RNA): As part of the public outreach programme initiated by District Administration to get the first hand appraisal of public grievances, District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today chaired a day long public outreach camp at Pattan which marked the participation of various delegations, deputations and other stakeholders form Pattan and its adjoining areas.

On the occasion, various issues and demands were highlighted during which the people sought personal intervention of the DDC for their timely redressal of grievances.

A delegation of Traders Union Pattan demanded four laning of National Highway from Narbal onwards for hassle free traffic movement. The delegation also demanded upgradation of Govt Girls High School and raised the issue of establishment of JKBOSE sub-Office in Pattan. Other demands extended by the delegation included establishment of Sales tax Office, uninterrupted power and water supply during the schedule hours, upgradation of health infrastructure in Trauma Hospital and acquisition and demarcation of land for degree college Pattan.

A delegation from Singpora demanded construction of Jeel-Bridge at Arampora, construction of Public Health Centre at Archanderhama, establishment of GHSS School at Gund Khawja Qasim besides raising other developmental issues of the area.

Similarly, delegations and deputations from Mirgund, Palhallan, Sariwarpora and adjoining areas of Pattan demanded development of the area.

The DDC gave a patient hearing to their grievances and demands and assured that all the genuine issues will be addressed on priority.

On the occasion, the DDC announces Rs 20 lakh for dewatering pump at Bonichukal and upgradation of PHC Sariwarpora as Wealth and Wellness centre. He said that inner links and roads of Palhallan will also be macadamized. The DDC directed SDM Pattan to submit a proposal for beautification of Pattan town.

The DDC said that government has lunched various schemes and programmes for the people and urged upon them to come forward and avail the benefits.
