Admin declares Six City areas as " No Parking Zone"

Srinagar , Dec.25 ( RNA) : Days after High Court sought a report on roadside parking of vehicles in the city, the divisional administration on Saturday constituted six no parking zones to curb traffic congestion and to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan convened a meeting in which he devised regulations to curb traffic congestion, an official spokesperson said.
The Divisional Commissioner constituted six no parking zones including Lal Chowk to Dalgate, Lal Chowk to Jehangir Chowk, Jehangir Chowk to Naaz Crossing, Secretariat road to Batamalo and Jehangir Chowk to Karan Nagar.
He directed the Traffic department to ply Speaker Mounted Vehicles on the said zones and National Highway, to announce no vehicle is allowed to park on the roads, and asking the drivers to use designated parking slots only for parking vehicles, the spokesperson said.RNA
