Rs 106.14 Cr expended on RD works in Anantnag: Director RDD

Srinagar, Dec.26 ( RNA) : Director Rural Development Department, Kashmir, Qazi Sarwar, today reviewed the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes, works under 14th FC & MGNREGA in a meeting here today

The Director RDD, Kashmir stressed upon the officers of the Department to speed up the works under MGNREGA and PMAY in all the 160 , where PRI’s are in place. He emphasized for creation of sustainable assets with special focus on rural connectivity, construction of link roads, culverts, protection bunds , crossings and conservation of water resources.
The ACD Anantnag, Muhammad Aslam informed the meeting about the progress and achievements made in the district till date under MGNERGA, PMAY & execution of works under 14th FC.
He said that under MGNREGA against an allocation of Rs 138 Cr, a disbursement of Rs106.14 Cr has been made for the completion of 592 taken up, out of which 210 works have been completed. He also informed that under CD & Pvt, 80 works have been identified out of which authorization has been made against 70 works and construction work started for 70 works in all the 16 blocks of the district against an outlay of Rs 319.79 lacs, which include Rs 142.73 lacs from CD & Pvt and Rs 177.06 lacs from MGNREGA.
Under 14th FC 2593 total works have been approved and would be taken up soon.
Under PMAY against a revised target of 2975 beneficiaries, Geo-Tagging for 2315 and account verification for 2313 beneficiaries has been completed. The first instalment for 2313, second for instalment 2045 and third instalment for 1709 beneficiaries has been released.
The ACD also informed the meeting that 83 per cent Aadhaar Seeding has been completed, while as Aadhaar Verification of 103573 accounts has been verified, besides 86777 Job Cards have been issued across the district.
For the renovation of Panchayat Ghars, an amount of Rs. 18.54 lacs have been sanctioned which include Rs.16.00 lacs under RGSA and Rs.2.45 lacs under MGNERGA under convergence.
Under the scheme, Panchayat Bhawan, Larkipora, Chittergul have been completed, while as renovation work is in progress in Batkote.
