Lone anguished over massive Noorbagh fire incident

Srinagar,June 11 ( RNA): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Friday expressed anguish over the incident of massive conflagration that broke out at Noorbagh area of Baramulla District, engulfing nearly two dozen houses and rendering more than thirty families homeless.

Expressing distress over the unfortunate incident, Party’s North Zone President and MP Baramulla Muhammad Akbar Lone said, “The massive inferno, I have come to know, has impacted nearly two dozen families. I express my heartfelt sympathies with them and impress upon the incumbent divisional and district administration to immediately recompense those affected by the fire incident. The administration must swing its men and machinery to work out the magnitude of losses incurred by the affected families and should immediately rush revenue teams to access the losses incurred by the affected so that the quantum of the compensation is decided at an earliest and also reimbursed promptly.”

“The affected families are mostly underprivileged and live by hand to mouth, therefore making it more imperative on the incumbent divisional and district administration to move an extra mile to help the affected families get on their feet again. Making required building material available to affected at subsidized rates will also go a long way in easing the burden from their shoulders. Meantime the administration should shift the affected families to temporary accommodations, where the all the essential items of daily use should be made available to them until they shift back to their respective reconstructed homes,” he added.

Among others Party’s District President Javed Dar, Advocate Shahid Ali, GH Rahi and other functionaries have also expressed unison with the fire affected, and prayed for their fast up-turn. The functionaries have impressed upon the district and divisional administration to come to the rescue of affected at an earliest.
